Another Good Article involving a Classic SeaCraft
 

The new August edition of Florida Sportsman Magazine has a great article about two guys that have caught several hundred Blue Marlin (4 releases in one day http://www.click-smilies.de/sammlung...smiley-020.gif) from their 1978 SeaCraft 23'. They live in the panhandle and fish out of Sherman Cove Marina (Pensacola area, maybe "Warthog5 knows them ?). The name of their SeaCraft is "VENTURE". They have fished the 23' for 17 years. Nice picture of the SeaCraft with the Marlin along side. It is a Seafari Model. I don't think they are members on CSC? They are on their fifth set of twin inboards. 120 gallons of fuel (200 mile range)

The article also talks about the boat being put up against the "big boys" as they have logged over 12,000 hours on the boat with 203 marlin releases http://www.click-smilies.de/sammlung...smiley-008.gif

Not a SC owner but the 23' is called Sceptre I believe.

That would be a 23' Sceptre (aka Tsunami prior to 1976).

No I don't know them. Gott'a be retired military. By looking at their age in the pix. Active military and retired military are the only one's allowed to park at Shermin Cove. It's actually on Pensacola Navel Air Station.
