Is this a Seacraft?
Greetings from across the Atlantic. Here in Sweden we do not se much of Seacraft (to bad really, they seem to great boats). I came upon the boat in the picture in an ad, but the seller couldn't tell me the make of the boat (her late father left it to her). After lurking around on the web I have a sneaking suspicion that it could be a mid 80's Seacraft. Can anyone tell me if I'm right or wrong?

Re: Is this a Seacraft?
Cool looking boat.
I'm no expert, but it doesn't look like any SeaCraft I have ever seen. The shape of the side in the rear view doesn't look like the right, that's the number one thing I see. |
Re: Is this a Seacraft?
No SeaCraft here, I do see a little modifying of a Mako thou. What do you think "Warthog5" http://www.click-smilies.de/sammlung...smiley-011.gif
The Varible Deadrise at the transome would be the sure give away whether or not it had SeaCraft lines http://www.click-smilies.de/sammlung...smiley-003.gif Too much Diamond plate and alum...I would hate to be standing on those deck plates in the Fla Sun with bare feethttp://www.click-smilies.de/sammlung...smiley-003.gif |
Re: Is this a Seacraft?
I was thinking Mako too but its not a seacraft. It sits ass deep though - might need a floatation bracket
Oh yeh, welcome to Classic Seacraft. |
Re: Is this a Seacraft?
Pretty nice boat and neat custom work. Yeah John it does sit a little low in the tail, but I'd be willing to bet it doesn't have two holes in the deck letting water in.
Someone will have to check with DH on shipping to Sweden. I don't think Mako either. It's hard to say. Everytime I go to Finland I see so many cool boats that we've never heard of here. |
Re: Is this a Seacraft?
Thanks you all for the quick response! Don't think it's a Mako (we have a few around to compare with) and another source came in with “Seabird” (another one I’ve never heard of…and a quick search on the web didn’t help…). So, thank you all again for helping me!
Carl PS. capt chuck, I wish we had that problem here…although we managed to have 7 consecutive days of 75+…heat is never the problem... DS |
Re: Is this a Seacraft?
At the risk of sounding like a know it all ; I'm pretty sure its a 24' seabird i.0. conversion . The interior layout is identical to my boat and others I've seen on the Seabird Boat Owners forum website . Scott should weigh in on this too !
