Bass / Blues in RI

Ok so I'm finally ready to splash my 23 this coming weekend. My kid is coming home from school and wants to bend a rod. Has anyone been fishing for bass out of or around Pt. Judith the last few days? Need some advice as its been over a year since I've been out.
BTY, I've just taken a lot of pictures and as soon as I can figure out how to post them, I will. Dink

Dink,

We were out yesterday and caught 50-60 fish in the Weekapaug area. Most were bluefish, but we did hit a pod of schoolies outside of Quonochontaug. Fish were biting all day. Trolling worked well. Running and gunning was putting the fish down quick, but we still managed a few spots for a while. Also caught an Albie.

I don't know the Point Judith area, but I'm sure you'll have luck anywhere from the west wall all along the beach going west.

NOAA called for 3-5 seas with 10-15knt winds and gusts to 30 knts . It was a beautiful day with very flat seas.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll try either to run to Block or down the beach to the west, weather permitting. Dink

Dink,
While you're down there, head over to Block and drift some eels around the SW corner of the island. Although I haven't fished there recently, I would think there are still some bass around.

Congrats on the splashdown, you must be pretty excited. Regarding the pix, sign up at photobucket.com, upload your pix from your PC, then attach them here using the Image link under Instant UBB Code. Remember to reduce the images to at least 640x480 before you save them to Photobucket.
