Re: NorthRip
Nice looking boat, really like all that flare.
Tell the model to drive the boat and quit looking at the camera though. |
Re: NorthRip
Initially looks nice, but after looking a bit it seems to have a number of contradictions. Bow flair looks great to deflect water in nasty conditions, but blunt entry will be like driving a battering ram through a close chop. Likewise, the open transom will let in a lot of water if it really does fish the North Rip on a moon tide and the lack of grab rails will make short work of the dark plexi windscreen in anything but a calm sea.

Re: NorthRip
Aye caramba....that guy stole my idea! Ever since this site started i wanted to build a 23' C/C based loosely on a Seacraft but adding more bow flare and then combining it with a traditional downeast "tumble home" stern.
Boat looks nice...but I would have liked to have a deeper v hull. Great brand name too. -Ed- |
Re: NorthRip
After looking at the specs on the web site, I take back what I said about the transom. Looks like there is provision for a gate or board to close the transom.

Re: NorthRip
Just looking at the pics on his site . . . this hull does not appear to be a variable deadrise hull.
