Son in law wants my Seacraft!

Help my son inlaw seems to think that I can't use three boats at the same time and should sell him my Sceptre! You know the story, Dad it will be in the family, your grandson will learn to fish, you can come with us anytime you want etc etc. It's bad enough he's been doing my daughter but my boat too! What's next can I take your dogs hunting? I'd kick the sh-t out of him if he wasn't 6'3" and a local cop. (he dont know how lucky he is.) Of course my daughter (the ungratfull snipe) is encouraging him. Help what should I do? He be after my beer next! Scotty.

FXRSCOTTY - I too think this is the best post I have ever seen online. I am trying to contain myself here.

As for your situation....that rough. You can hide the Sceptre down here in RI if you need a hiding place.

I'd wait till he was asleep and rub peanut butter on both his shinns and let the two Springer Spaniels of yours do the "Mississippi Leg Hound Mumba" on him until he promises to wax all three boats http://www.click-smilies.de/sammlung...e/MrT_anim.gif

Scotty - well put. I'll be happy if my (future) son in law wants my SeaCraft. That won't be anywhere near as expensive as my daughter. And much less "vocal"...

Or as my buddy calls it, the "stabbin' cabin"

Scotty - that is absolutely hilarious!! He's a 6'3" cop huh? Maybe give him the boat in exchange for continued "protection".

Re: Son in law wants my Seacraft!

Tell him you would have to check out the market value at a " unbiased " source ( yeah right !!!) Then , we'll blow it our for you !

Or, have him sign some sort of marriage 'nuptial agreement'. If he goes the boat stays !

Lastly, just tell him " it ain't for sale " !

Unless of course, he's a really good, conscience guy who is handy or has a lot of spare $$$ - then maybe you could feel good about passing the torch ( still go for the nuptial thing of course )
