Suzuki DF140

What kind of price should I expect for a suzuki 140 20in. And does this motor come as a package with control box, tach, and harness.

Re: Suzuki DF140

I was quoted fully rigged prices of $11,500 and up from my local dealers. I bought the motor contorl box, wiring harness, ss prop, and gauges...out door price of around $9,000 (including shipping) from an out of state dealer. I am going to rig it myself. You have the option of a $500 rebate or you can extend the 3 year warranty to a 6 year warranty for the next couple of months.

JW,

For warranty purposes, do you need an authorized Suzuki dealer to install or sign?

Just curious, i almost went that route ...

I am buying a few parts from local suzuki dealer and I will have them double check the rigging for a reasonable fee.

I paid $8700 with gauges/rigging a year ago from Travis in Stuart/FL. However, I hear there has been a price increase this year.

I paid $9,500 total in May of '02 in South Florida, including sales tax, S/S prop, gauges, controls, completely rigged & installed on my 18 footer. Motor has never missed a beat, sips gas, quiet as a sewing machine, and runs like a scalded dog.

I believe there are other good motors out there...I went with the DF140 and have had very good luck with it and have not looked back. Good luck!
