Floor Design
I'm hoping that you guys can help me out.
Now that I have the floor all cut and fitted . . . I'm torn about the design. The current design would be a flush deck with no drain channels, however I really like the contender floor with the recessed channels and have come up with a design that seems Do'able (with just a bit more work) http://www.wellcraftv20.com/gallery/...plan.sized.jpg http://www.wellcraftv20.com/gallery/...bum28/yes4.jpg http://www.wellcraftv20.com/gallery/...bum28/yes1.jpg What to do??? |
Re: Floor Design
I vote for the gutters, and I like your plan.Gutters make it so much easier when you spill your beer
Seriously, I think gutters are a big help when washing down. |
Re: Floor Design
I really like the idea of the channels as well and if it is JUST A LITTLE MORE WORK for you I think that is a great idea and go for it. If it was me doing the job they it would be a LOT more work and I probably would say No. I still like to fish more than I like to work on boats.

Re: Floor Design
I have them on my 20 and on my sea vee they are nice but they are a pain sometimes because they get blocked up with leaves and etc ecspecially on the 20.

Re: Floor Design
I agree too, gutters.
But leaves always find them! - Nick |
Re: Floor Design
I can think of reasons for gutters as well as reasons not to have them. Great for drainage, a nuisance to clean with a standard boat brush. If you put gutters in, get a 1" wide brush just for washing the fish blood out of the gutters.
