Attention Ntrain2k

Ron or Chris,

I'm not sure which of you are using this handle on this site, but any way I measured the transom for ya!

I was wondering....What is the newer designed boat transom thickness?

It is 3" thick inside the splash well area. I'd guess the transom it's self is about 2 1/2" if I didn't measure the thickness of the splash well.

Speaking of the splash well....should it have a hard permanent bond to the transom? My boat isn't....they have putty between the two, but it has separated....it stuck to the transom, but not to the splash well.

I sure wish you guys had some pictures of how the knees brace the transom....I'd bet I have mine as good as it could be without removing the cap, but I would still like to see how you guys are doing them now.
