Progress - slow, but sure
It's been a fairly cold spring. I finally finished the renovation on the the 1963 Boston Whaler 13 Sport, got the spring family vacation out of the way and now can focus attention on the 23CC project that has been on the shelf for almost 2 years. These are images of the exterior, complete with new decals. The motor goes on this week and hopefully, the rest will follow quickly.

Man! Having your boat parked next to the golf course. SWEET! Now if the course was on the water and was willing to rent you dock space with a lift, even better!
45 yrs old, 5 years playing golf, 2 lifetime eagles, no Aces, still trying to break 90. Longest drive 355 yards, (average 270-280) Boy, do I wish I could hit the fairway off the tee more than 25% of the time, and pitch and chip worth a darn.:p On the other hand, I know the woods around these local golf courses like the back of my hand. Yeah, I love golf almost as much as fishin'. |
Re: Progress - slow, but sure
Fr. Frank,
That's the practice range behind my home and office. I grew up on the 36 hole facility, so I'm the product of a mis-spent youth. My current USGA handicap is 1.5, but I haven't posted a score in 2 years thanks to boating and teenagers. My game stays pretty good, but 41 years of playing and having the same coach for the entire time helps. Golf is really a simple game. It's alot like fishing, you just have to figure out what it takes to get the fish into the boat and then do it. Given the choice of spending 6 hours on a golf course or 6 hours on a SeaCraft, I can tell you my handicap will only go up from here on out. |
Re: Progress - slow, but sure
Strick,
The bottom paint is Interlux VC-17 with Teflon. They claim to add up to 10% of top speed to the hull cause it's so slipery. I'll give feedback when she actually floats. |

Thanks Otto

You of all people should understand this concept. Why do you think a golfball has dimples |
Re: Progress - slow, but sure
You would think maybe it has something to do with the teflon and surface tension.
