New Member : Just saying howzit to everybody.

My name is Daniel. I was one of those guys jus lurking around for a while. First time posting in any forum, type to slow. But any way impressed with the guys that restored there boats with such quality and craftsmanship.
Well after confusing my self Im pretty sure I want to switch to a bracket and an outboard.
Never did any glassing before and all types of fiberglass material got me wondering what to use on the different area and how much. Any comments is appreciated.
Much Mahaloz DANo

Thanks Fellowship.
Ive pulled my motor, leg, gas tank,CC. Im praying when I remove the gimble housing and bracket, that the transom is all right.Measured the transom thickness at 2inches thick? Is this commom or overkill?Had a Chevy 305 and Im going for a bracket and 115-150HP out board. Will post pictures as soon as I figure out how. [IMG]http://i5.photobucket

Usually that is approx write most guys use two ¾” thick planks of either plywood or composition materials and then you have the outer and inner wall of the transom which is approx another ½ “ thick.
What boat do you have???? That will help in any conversation.

Welcome Dano to CSC

It's great to have a new member from Hawaii. What kind of fish are those you are holding in your avatar picture, GT's?

Good Luck with your '71 SeaCraft restore
