Center console cabinet door replacement?
I'm looking for suggestions on replacing the cabinet door on the helm side of the center console on my '85 23. The opening is 29 3/4 wide and 22 1/2 inches tall. Is there a manufucturer that makes pre-made doors that I could use? I'm open to suggestions on the best material to use too? Maybe starboard for the low maintenance? Teak for looks?
Thanks in advance! |
Re: Center console cabinet door replacement?
WHATS UP WR, MY 20'CC HAS STARBOARD DOORS. I LIKE THE FACT THAT THEY ARE LOW MAINTNANCE AND VERY DURABLE. I WILL TAKE SOME PICS OF MY SETUP SO THAT YOU CAN HAVE AN IDEA OF WHAT IT WILL LOOK LIKE .

Re: Center console cabinet door replacement?
I'm still looking for doors if anybody has a good suggestion? Maybe the OEM part would fit from a current model SC or Regulator or Mako or something?? Anybody tell me where I can look?
I'd do something used, too, if somebody has one to part with that looks decent? Thanks. |

This manufacturer was just posted by another member in another thread
Looks like they do custom work A friend of mine had some hatches made by someone in FL (I think) He's real happy with the work ... I cant offer an opinion as I have not seen them yet. I'll see if I can find the link for you |
Re: Center console cabinet door replacement?
I constructed a starboard frame holding 2 sliding doors made from plexiglass for my 20'. Each door slides to give access to almost 1/2 of the consol and can be instantly removed for full access. I also installed a starboard panel in the consol to mount the electrical panel, radio and all switches out of the spray.
