CMI duplicates all Boston Whaler railings and fittings with stainless. I'm sure if you ship your stuff to them, they will duplicate it. Fred is a very nice guy and is located in Hingham, Mass. Good luck. zot.

Thanks for the tip I live about a half hour from Hingham so I could bring the parts to him.

Mike, any luck with CMI? Spoken to Fred yet? Interested to see what he can do for SeaCraft refinishing/duplicating. Thanks, Mike.

Mike I talked to Fred last Saturday and as you said he"s seems to be a nice guy.I asked him about the connecting parts for the bow rail and he thought about 12 dollars a fitting and that he was sure they were a stock item.He is located in the Quincy Shipyard. The pieces would be stainless.
Thanks again Mike

I just got a quote to replace my low profile grab rail that goes around the whole front of my 23 CC with aluminum. I got a quote for $975.00 to just do the bow rail. I thought that was pretty high and because the guy is going to do some repair work on my T-Top he suggested since the rail really isn’t damaged just old looking that I could just have it Powder Coated and put back onto the boat even though the rail is approx 30 years old.

Question: has anyone powder coated their rails like this and if so how did they come out???

Actually, he's a few miles down the road in the Hingham shipyard where Hewitt's Cove Marina is.

Fellowship,
I had my handrail and leaning post powder coated in a metalic silver with a gloss clear coat. The leaning post came out great, the handrail so so. They could have done a better job on it. If you know someone who does it well, I would have it done. For both pieces and some other things it cost me $500, which I thought was a little high. You can probably get a better price.-PF

Thanks PF for the info. When I got the quote for the bow rail at close to a grand I thought that was pritty high. I really don't mind spending $$ on the Boat but that seems High to me.
