I THINK I F----ED UP!!!????

so heres the deal, the 20' is going in for paint soon so yesterday i was just looking over everything on it and i realized that i have no idea if i hooked up the gas lines correctly. on the tank there were 3 fittings, the fill (1 1/2") the vent and the pick up. one is 5/16" and the other is 3/8". since every vent i looked at was made for a 5/16" hose, i ran that fitting as the vent. am i correct? if not how can i tell?... now heres why im scared.. yesterday i also threw some gas in the tank to see if i could tell. when i blow in the "vent" hose i cant hear/feel the gas bubbling. and when i blow in the other one (3/8") which goes through the bulb and fuel water seperator i didnt feel anything. i hope some one follows this and can confirm for me that i [censored] up before i go rerouting the houses. its not difficult, just a ROYAL PAIN IN THE ASS

Thanks,

Ben "ifuckedup" Greif

Try siphoning gas out of each line in question. One will work and the other will not - hopefully.

You lost me on your size's. 1 1/2in for fuel fill. 5/8in is the standard for fuel vent. You said 5/16in.
3/8in for the fuel pickup.

the tank will have fittings welded in but the two elbows screw down into the tank if its like mine. You can unhook both lines, hook the line with the primer bulb to each one, when you get fuel you found the pickup
