New Orleans Fishing
I will be travelling to New Orleans in 2 weeks and want to know if anyone knows about fishing there. I would like to set up perhaps a 1/2 day guide inshore or offshore. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Brian

Re: New Orleans Fishing
I would head south of New Orleans to Venice. There is great fishing down there. I was just there this past weekend.

Re: New Orleans Fishing
If you want to fish inshore - specks/reds go to the Shell Beach or Delacroix area..
If offshore is more what you want then (like BA17 said)Venice is the place to go.. It's about an hour South of New Orleans and well worth the drive. The Blue water is in pretty close right now - tuna, dolphin, wahoo etc.. If you want a great charter in Venice look up Capt Peace Marvel.. He runs a fleet of 26 Glacier Bays and they really catch a lot of fish. Good luck. |
