Topside Paint Options

Besides Awl Grip, what other types (brands) of paint have people used to paint the topsides using the roll and tip technique? Thanks

I used Sterling Paint Co. they have a great line of paints that work very well with the roll and tip methods I did my whole boat with the Stuff. Cost a lot of $$ but is hard as nails and gives you that wet look.

I just painted my transom (I trailer the boat)with Brightside by Interlux. It came out looking nice, matched my gelcoat well, but it's too early to know how it will stand up.

bright side aint the best [censored] but it works ive had my other boat covered in it for almost to years and for what ive put it through i think its held up good, but if anything rubs on it expect it to chip or leave a mark

Hatrick - did you roll and tip it?

Re: Topside Paint Options

I used the roll and tip method which was easier than I thought it would be. I don't see this paint as a permanent fix but it matched my gelcoat perfectly and the boat looks much better than it used to. Someday I intend to add trim tabs and at that point I will consider gelcoating properly.
