Sad Sight

I saw this sad sight in the Westport Harbor about a week ago. Don't know any details, but I sure feel bad for the owner.

When you snapped the pic, was it anchored/moored, or just floating there?

Why does that look like a SeaCraft variable deadrise hull?

Re: Sad Sight

It was/is a sweet 23 closed transom and single 250 on a set back bracket. I took a bunch of shots of it about 3 weeks ago when my better half and i were exploring Westport it was floating upright at that time. I think it had a FL registration.

I will try to fond the shots

What a shame.......

Hey Trayder, if it has FL numbers on it try to get them the next time if it is still there. I can run the numbers to see who it was registered to. Ken (Daytona Beach, FL.)

It was still at the mooring. I always look at the various SeaCrafts in the harbor as I go in and out and this one looked beautiful. We had a drenching rain, I think the day before, and I wonder if that was part of the cause. What's the procedure to get the boat upright and floating again?

Right below the little wave/splash you can see a little white area. From the water it looked like a white patch on the bottom of the hull about 12"x12"?

You might be able to knock one down but you can’t knock one Out. My bet, that boat will be catching fish in just a few months from now.
