There is a guy in Key West that is making a 26'. They stretched out a 23 to a 26 and made a mold. He makes these boats custom to order. Level or raised deck, closed transom with platform or cut out transom...etc. You name it, he will do it for you. They look like pretty nice boats.

Yea they are called Powell customs! Saw one at the key west boat show. Didn't seem to be built to well. Plus we know a guy that bought one. The first one he ever made. When i saw them come back from a ride in 1 foot seas they were soaked. Our t-top came off the boat the guy uses for a mold. The boat delaminated, so they guy sold the hull for 500 bucks! Yeah Pat got the first one...he lives in your area over there.

The guy that builds them is Steve Powell he is a friend of mine. He use to work for Bacle Boats building 43' and 48' custom Torres sportfishing boats. I didn't really inspect Pat's boat too well. I just glanced it over after it was done and looked pretty good from what I saw...I haven't gotten a chance to give it a really good look so I'll take your word for it. He did tell me that he has had it up to 56 mph with twin 200 Johnson 4 strokes.
