Uncommon models?
I was just curious about how common the non center console and non inboard/outboard Seacraft models were?
It seems like a majority of what I see here and elsewhere is either the CC and/or the I/O. Is that accurate or am I mistaken? Also, what is the difference between the Savage and Seavette models? Thanks! |
Re: Uncommon models?
Somewhere on this site are production numbers for the various models during the Potter years. Non-CC models most likely have lower production #s (20 & 25 Seafari, 20 & 23 Sceptre, 27 Flybridge, etc), however I'm willing to wager that OB-powered SCs are more numerous than I/O models.
The Savage is a 23' CC cuddy, whereas the Seavette is essentially a 23' Sceptre with an extended forward deck. The specs page on this site shows the various models. |
Re: Uncommon models?
I would agree, I think the OB's outnumber the IO's by at least 10 to 1.

Re: Uncommon models?
It just seemed like every Seacraft I was finding listed for sale was an I/O...I kinda figured the CC thing would be more popular...thanks for the info.

Re: Uncommon models?
Many of those OB models we see now are converted I/O to outboards...
My next will be a Savage |
