Port side list

I have a 1986 20' CC. The boat has somewhat of annoying list to port while underway, unless weight is shifted to starboard. Anyone have any ideas as to what causes this?

could be several things- most likely engine torque- batteries ,gas, lead (sinkers, dont laugh I have about 100 lbs on my stbd side)stuff like that stored on the side thats listing maybe. Also could be rainwater caught up inside/between the outside stringers with the drain holes in the stringer clogged up. trim tabs will fix the list quick if you cant figure it out, but i feel they are a neccessity/must on any boat!craig

All boats are made with a hook in the bottom of the boat
close to the stern. The boat could have come out of the mold a-little hot when it was manufactured, which can cause
what you are describbing. Buy trim tabs, problem solved.
I have Bennett 9x24's on my 20SF. It is the only easy solution
to your problem. See ya, Ken

My 20 MA did the same thing. I adjusted the fin on the motor and it helped, but a pair of bennett tabs solved it...
