Questions about Suzuki/Johnson 4-Strokes

i Just ordered a 140 4 stroke for my 20 and the guy said that the only tach that will work is the johnson tach, is this true, and does johnsuzuk make a complete matching set of guages. but mostly i wanna know if this guy is full of [censored] or not?

Thanks Ben

Re: Questions about Suzuki/Johnson 4-Strokes

Ben - From what I hear the Johnson 4 strokes require OMC/BOMB rigging (wiring harness, System check tach, gauges, prop) - not suzuki. I have heard Ficht rigging after 99 mates up, but you should be asking this question to the dealer. What I have heard is 2nd hand info.

Here are some of the connectors that Bombardier uses on the Fichts . . .

Ben, just for your info, probably too late to change your order. Suzuki just came out w/a 4 cyl 150/175 engine. Lighter maybe/more power?? Just a thought.
