Carl Moesley, the original designer and builder made the 19' Bowrider starting, I think in 1965. I believe it was discontinued when he sold the company to Potter in 1968.

I had my "Moesley" on the water this year and just love the design and layout. Unfortunately, it has yet to become a "hot" collector's boat, the more popular models being the 70's vintage Potter center consoles, Septres and Seafaris. The last 3 that we know of being sold did so at "several hundred dollars".

Best of luck selling her.

I'm going to try to buy a bowrider next time one comes up. It does look like a great layout.

Thanks for the info,I had guessed later 60's after reading the Mosley story in this site. My boat was my dad's, and I think they bought it in 71.It's no longer a bow rider however, sawsall and years of work made it a CC. Pics to follow.

Does any body else have an old moesley ( pardon the previous spelling) that could get me closer on the year. Mine is No 532 Model 19 ( bow rider )

Terry,

cc's 1965 is #215. My 1965 is #328. If David's '66 is #441, I would take a guess that your #532 is a either a '66 or '67.

I also neglected to mention that fellow member PipeDreams has a special, beautifully restored 19' with a custom top he designed, built and installed himself. I think his is the only example of a renovated 19'. His certainly has a substancial value not only to him, but to someone that knew exactly what they were buying. My reference to value was only to reasonably complete "core" 19's that need everything.

Thanks David,
I think we are getting real close on the date now. I coverted the boat from a bow rider to a center console. That moved the weight back in the boat. With a super tuned 150 merc on a 6 inch CCM bracket, the boat was scary fast. Low 60's with GPS, until I added the T top, which slowed it down some. I am going to pull it on of the storage and take some pics today.

Terry,

I'm looking forward to seeing how you did the conversion to center console. I have a Seafari and soon may acquire a second, and I was trying to imagine how I could change one of them to a CC .........I know all you Seafari fans are cringing at the thought of it- don't worry, I probably won't do it, just curious........
