SeaStar hydraulic fittings and Loctite

Anyone know the proper "model number" for Loctite to be used on the fittings coming out of the cylinder and helm ??

An engineer at Teleflex told me , now I can't find the email

I'm thinking it was "567" ???

Scott, asI recall, it was any pipe dope that has teflon in it. It doesn't have to be "Loctite" brand.

Yo Rodney

I'm really thinking 3M Duct tape...and if you really want to step it up use the new clear duct tape!

As for the lost pint of fluid ... just dont turn the wheel as much

Scott

Loctite "542" is recommended for the SeaStar / Helm hydralic hoses

DO NOT USE TEFLON TAPE http://floridasportsman.com/art/scold.gif
