Hello all, new guy here! Am interested in the restore of a cc 23 Sea Craft just need to find the right one! Have a few questions

1. Can the I/O version of this boat be easily converted to a bracket an outboard. structural upgrades needed?

2. Are there companies that specialize in the replacement of transoms adding brackets, etc?

3. I am mechanically inclined and have an assortment of power tools is sanding inside and out along with awlgripping something somebody with little experience can get right?

Anyone seen a used 23' that needs a rebuild on the East Coast for a song?? [img]/images/graemlins/cool.gif[/img]

Welcome Aboard ! Ditto ! on all the ?'s. If Your looking & havn't bought then look for one thats already an OB & Your halfway there! The Transom will keep Ya plenty busy.

Welcome want2fish. I have a 79 23SF inboard converted to bracketed twin outboards. I bought it already converted. That saved me at least 5K to do it myself. Capt. Brad has a good point, unless your ready to convert or use as an IO for some time, go for the least time and money to start. It will all cost the same in the end [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img].
