deck repair

Hello all
Im new to the web site and i like to thank u all for the helpfull tips. Im thinking about putting a new deck into my 1973 20' superfisherman seacraft. The question that i have is if i should remove the fish boxes and replace it all. The fish boxes are the step up in the front of the boat. If i remove them will it change the ride. thanx
p.s. does anyone have any deck repair guys in ma.

no. the new 20's don't even have the forward casting deck and they ride just fine. There are several members here on the site who have eliminated the casting deck.
