1968 fiberCraft rebuild
This is a 1968 keys skiff that I bought on the side of the road for 500.00 and completely rebuilt.New transom, stringers, cap, fuel tank, rigging,AwlGrip, etc. All I saved was the bare hull.It took 4 months and a ton of beer, but it turned out to be a great flats skiff.

That's very cool What did you core the top deck with?
I'd imagine with the motor notched forward it would balance out much better for skinny water. |

Re: 1968 fiberCraft rebuild
Thanks All!
Finster, everything was built with marine ply glassed on both sides.I wasn't too concerned with weight I built the boat mainly for tarpon and permit fishing(don't have to get quite as shallow as bonefish)and I am use to working with wood. She draws about 8 or 9 inches, not up to todays"technical poling skiffs"standards, but it's turned out to be a great charterboat, just what I needed. |

Re: 1968 fiberCraft rebuild
Well done Joey! Another fine (and comfortable riding) addition to the Miller Boatworks fleet. Grab the blue seats off the Mini-Merritt and load up the igi-igi.
Thanks for the chance to fish on it as well as use the bow for photos this past week: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...a/9ccc8f26.jpg |
