pricing help

I saw this boat today and would like some "expert" opinion

http://adcache.boattraderonline.com/6/2/8/81231628.htm

The out side is flawless the inside is very nice also

Concern are the engines, they seem like they are in excellent condition started right up and ran nice but they are both 96's

What do the experts think

Can't speak for others experiences, but IMHO, the reputation on those black max's is pretty fair. Don't believe I'd let the year be as much a detering factor as the condition, (appearance, compression, hours, etc.) be the guide.

Nice looking package... Good Luck

I'm no expert, but I have been told that the year motor's I have -twin 1995 Merc 225's on my 79 23SF- are a good year. Are your motors EFI's? If the redo is quality, then It's worth it

I might be more worried about the "newer" 86 hull then those engines. 2 cents worth.

Didn't Tracker take over some time in 86? I wonder if early 86 year models were pre Tracker boats?

I have a 1989 Tracker built and my boat is great. Just check it out to make sure the decks are not soft and that the transon is strong.

Re: pricing help

For what it's worth, one of the local fiberglass guys around here had to redo the stringers in 3 late 80, early 90's 23 SeaCrafts. He said that they "had tried gluing the stringers in rather than glassing them in place". So I would really see if this particular boat actually had the so-called glued in stringers. I do know that on my 82 they are glassed in place. I asked what years were glued in and he said that the only ones that he had seen were the late 80, early 90's Tracker models.
