115 Mercury Optimax

Well,The skiff I have this motor on ran into a little problem(submerged hurricane debrie)since the hull repair is not in my future and the new skiff that I must purchase requires much less HP,this one is for sale.It is a 2004 115 Optimax with about 400hrs and 18 months of factory warranty. It runs perfect and has no major sratches or dings.has an aluminum prop.4500.00

rode on the boat propelled by this engine two weeks ago and that engine runs LIKE NEW! I was sorry to hear about the demise of that boat but someone will get a good deal on an engine out of it.

Sorry to hear about your skiff. I will post it around some of the central fl places. Alot of lagooners over here use that size motor. Did you post it on the FS site?
BTW, I hit a playschool swingset out in the gulf stream a week after Wilma. Man that storm threw a bunch of trash in the ocean. Recycling bins, garbage cans, buckets, you name it, it was out there.

Yes there is a bunch of stuff floating around.I don't know what I hit,I didn't see or feel anything. It was very rough and the water looked like mud.The good thing is the boat didn't sink.I came back to the dock, got my client off, drank a couple beers and cleaned the boat,so it sat in the slip for an hour or so before I put it on the lift.A few days later I noticed that the hull bottom looked a little odd,so I got in the water to look under the boat and there was a gash 6ft or so long by an inch or so wide, you can put your hand up into the hull.It can be repaired, but I don't have the time to do it now so I'm going to get a new skiff and fix this one down the road and use it as a bait skiff for everyone here at the marina.
