Hurricane Wilma Flooding Pics
I havent been able to post naything lately due to the 4 hurricanes in a row. We live on a canal on about mile marker 10. The water came up and came up fast.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v7...ilamFlood7.jpg That is a picture from our backporch looking into the backyard. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v7...mWaterLine.jpg That is a picture of the water line, if it would have come up to the deck on the left, it would have got in the house. The house is 5 feet of the ground, and that is in the front, which is a little higher than the back. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v7...derHanging.jpg That is a picture of the people across the canals contender that floated and when the tide fell it slid back braking the lift. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v7...ilmaFlood2.jpg That is a picture of the junk that floated from under the house. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v7...ilmaFlood3.jpg That is a picture of the SeaCraft on the trailer in the driveway. The water came over the top of the white fence and the boat floated so we had to go and tie it down! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v7...ilmaFlood4.jpg Believe it or not, there is a pool on the inside of the brick fence. On the outside is the canal. The water eventually came about 1 foot over the brick fence! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v7...WilmaFlood.jpg This is a picture looking the other way off the front porch, the water eventually came over the white fence! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v7.../WilmaPool.jpg This is a picture of the pool in the backyard that was under all that water 2 pictures up. There were fish in it! The house did okay, but our work on Flagler Ave. was completely flooded out. But the town as a whole had no fatalites!
