My company had a contest and sent the winners to the town of Jaco 3 years ago. Sailfish were literally jumping in the boat, we landed 11 each day and only fished 6 hours/day. Stayed at Los Suenos and one of my clents had a big Viking he ships back and forth from the Tampa area. I think it costs him $15,000.00 each way. The nicest boat in the marina was an 80' Meritt. I would recommend Costa Rica for anyone looking to fish, surf, relax and (meet some young hotties wink wink)

A LOT of $$$ . . . this is how they transport a Brand New Contender 31 (Off in the corner laying on a few tires). Bri - I visited a friend down there in Golfito two years ago . . . The fishing was unbelievable, so were the chicas. Pura Vida!!

I went on my honeymoon to Costa Rica. The wife wasn't having any fishing trips, so the best I could muster was a surf fishing adventure with a local from the lodge we stayed at on the Osa Peninsula. We used handlines and jig heads tipped with shrimp that you'd "cast" with. The surf was 5-7' and blowing like stink. No fish but it was fun anyways.
The next time will be at a place like Los Suenos or Golfito. |
