Need a slip for the Weekend in Newport

A buddy is getting married in Newport next September 16...Boat show weekend.

Weather permitting, I'd love to take the boat up there for it (15th -17th, Fri-Sun). Anyone, know of a spot (preferrably near the Newport Bay Club where I'm staying) that might have something available for a 23' (probably closer to 26' with the bracketed o/b). Any one have a clue on what I can expect to pay (if I can find a spot). If it's too expensive, I'm just going to forget the whole idea because I would only do it if the weather was perfect and don't want to throw away hundreds of dollars if I have to cancel on a day or two's notice.

Thanks,
Jon

Its a bit of a long way off. but with a 23 I am pretty confident you will be able to find a space at the last minute.

If you run into issues shoot me an email and I will find something for you.

A bit of a long way off as in too far in advance or too long of a trip for the 23'?

I asked the same questions on another site and got a lot of replies that it's too long of a trip for a 23'. I really don't see this being a bad trip. I know it's not as far but I've been to Sag Harbor in a 21' bowrider. I thought this would be easier than that to be honest. This boat is a fair amount longer, deeper V, higher freeboard. Don't have to cross the sound, plenty of places to stop along the coast for gas/shelter (as compared to north shore LI).

Anyway, as far as last minute arrangements go, did I mention that it's boat show weekend? I'll only be doing the trip if the weather window is perfect but, if I don't have something lined up ahead of time, I'll definitely shoot you an email. I don't need anything fancy, just a safe place to leave it. We'll be staying at the Newport Bay Club.

Distance wise it isn't far - I've run a 19' Grady from Bridgeport to City Island then north to Guilford and back to BP during a WICC Tourney. Proably 150 miles all told that day. Norwalk to NPT is probably 130 each way...
