\"GIANT\" Bluefin Tunas

I am posting these pictures for SeaCraft Forum Member "BA17" Caught out of Oregon Inlet NC Outer Banks

Quote:

Capt. Chuck
Here are a couple of pics from Thursday. Fished yesterday and had no action.
Did not get an exact weight on the fish, probably 500-600 lbs. One was 97" and the other was 90" long. The short one was really fat, like a butterball. The bites happened around 9:30 am and 11:00 am. We fought each fish for about an hour. We were trolling horse ballyhoo on pink and blue & white islanders. The bite slowed on Friday and Saturday. The wind is supposed to blow the next few days, so I may head back later in the week. Hopefully by then I will have regained the use of my arms and back.
Brian

That would definately cover our usual 50 peice "sport feeding" start.
You better hurry up I'm sure they think we've gone back to the other fish monger!

Nice Giants! Just got a call from a friend. Giant caught today off Hilton Head Island, S.C.! Greg Clark is a guide with the most experience with these fish in the area. Much later than usual for us, especially when you consider how warm it has been this season. I believe it is his second this year, actually first was pre-New Years. OBX has been very hot this year as well. Vezo, Part II.

Nice Fish boys!!!

I could swear i saw those fish during the CSC gathering in Newport RI last year. Everytime i cast at them, a small 30# would beat them to the popper!

Maybe next year .... - Nick

Update: Possible state record caught this weekend. Waited 24 hours or so to officially weigh with Dept. of Nat. Res..
397 pounds of sushi! Approximately 4 hour fight and 35 to 40 miles off the beach. Search Island Packet, record tuna, then click on Chicken Of The Sea. Vezo, Part II.

Yes, I'm Stupid. Don't know how to link S#!T!
