Hey everyone-
Just bought a 1976 223' superfisherman. Inboard, everything re-done in 1998. I was a previous owner of a 1975 23'mako inboard, and upgraded to this boat. Any particular"quirks" to the boat or anything people that have experiences with these boats would have to offer me would be appreciated.

welcome to the site glad to hear you upgraded boats. You will love the 23 SeaCraft.

There is a decent amount of general info on the 23's in the forum. There is a search button in the header.

Miles Offshore has a 23 inboard and I know Finster has done his homework on them as well

Welcome Adam,

The difference between the ride in the 23 Mako and the 23
SeaCraft are night and day!! Just enjoy the Boat and this forum. There is no shortage of knowledge on this site.

Welcome to the board! You can start by giving us more info on your current boat and also what you may plan on doing to upgrade the boat. You will find this board friendly, fun and super informative. There is a member "spidercrab" who was very useful during my restoration.

Thanks for all the preliminary info-Im up in jersey, Monmouth County.A few specks on the boat-
V8 Mercruiser freshwater cooled thunderbolt 5.7L
2-50 gallon fuel tanks
T-top with custom enclosure
recessed handrail around bow
longitudinal stepped V design hull
all stainless fittings topside and underneath
Just to name a few...Looking forward to chatting with other seacraft owners.-No plans to do any more upgrades, maybe just some general cosmetics-non skid paint on the deck and re-paint the console. Wish I was in Florida-----

Adam ..Where in Monmouth county ???

I know an owner (23 seacraft with bracket ) that had the same boat as your prior ... Purchased it new and had it for 20 some years, very good looking boat. Took a ride on the boat he ended up buying, the seacraft, and was blown away with the ride. He said he wished he had made the step up many years earlier. Couldn’t believe there was a boat in this class that handled the ocean so well.

Congrats .... The boat speaks for itself !!

Manasquan-Ill keep it in the glimmer glass. can't wait for spring!!the mako I had was great but very wet.....ARe you referring to rich faas? (boats name soaken wet) 1973 seacraft?

Spent a lot of summers over there .... Worked on a 38 Bertram that was slipped in there !!!
