Old transducer

Anyone know what kind of a transducer and housing this is and how you remove the housing from the hull? I’d like to use the hole in the hull for another purpose. The transducer element is a force fit into the housing’s barrel and is held in place with the pin that goes through the unit and the sides of the barrel. It’s possible that the unit could date back to the 70’s.

it looks like an old DataMarine depth sounder. It could very well be from the 70's

Since the houseing looks like plastic, how about the bigger hammer principle to get ot out of there?

Trayder, Scott,

Thanks. I think you are both right. There is a DMI in Pocasset. I'll get in touch with them and see what they say. Might be worth something to someone. Who knows.
