High Five Prop

I just picked up a 17 Pitch Mercury High Five Prop. I'll post some numbers this weekend . . . Has anyone tried this prop on a 20 seacraft?

If it doesn't work great . . . I'll ebay it and take everyone's advice to go with the Mercury MIRAGE PLUS or Franky's suggestion of the Powertech Offshore Four Blade.

Brad - what did you think? Too slow . . . ?
How about cavitation? I hear that these props don't break loose at all. I'm also curious about the lift . . .

I don't remember the Brand, pitch etc. Can only imagine it was the same as Mine.I put it on & the lift / Take off were great,The mids were off Top speed was good too,I went across the Bay 6 Miles & changed back. The Mirage was best all around as its a Lifting prop which these Girls need.Looked better than performed.Try Yours before going off My run.I had a Long way to go @ Mid / slo speed.I hear these are Great for Flats & Bass boats.I think My Girl is juz' a lil' to Heavy!

All I can say is wow . . . This prop is awesome!! Gets on a plane in no time. Smooth smooth smooth. Pretty good lift too. I can take sharp turns at full speed and not blow out at all. I definitely have the wrong pitch, b/c the motor turns 6400rpm @ 47.5mph!!

The bad news is my cruise is down to 29.5 at 4000rpm and at the end of the trip there were some funny grinding noises coming from the lower unit . . . I have a feeling that the lower unit is on the way out.

Finally broke down an bought a New Mirage Plus 19 pitch. The Prop is HUGE. Gonna try it out next week. Hopefully it'll be the last one I buy for a while. Thanks Brad for your advice.

Luckily . . . The noise was just a rattle from the flo-torq hub.

Just won a 21 pitch Highfive off ebay too. I wasn't expecting to get it . . . This is going to be a good comparision 19 pitch Mirage Plus vs. 21 pitch Highfive.
