On Line Nautical Charts

folks -

I lifted the following link from Reel-Time, an on line fishing community

http://www.nauticalcharts.gov/viewer...CoastTable.htm

also - the folks at Reel Time are looking to do a mass discount buy of a PLB - the individual version of EPIRBs - the New England tuna chasing community has a lot of little boat guys goin out deeper and deeper. They got about 80 folks with interest, spread across several other boards, such as THT - there's good discussion of the difference between EPIRB's and PLB,s and they are going out now to see what kind of price break that quantity might get them

Just an FYI

Here is the Rapidfix

and Globalfix

In the spec sheets note the certifications.
Just be cautious in what you're purchasing and understand its limitations

Capt. Brad -

thanks for the offer, but I wasn't even thinking in that direction - let the gent do his thing - plus it seems from latest posts on RT that someone on THT tried to horn in on the deal and is making a messy situation...

just wanted to pass on those two pieces of info, for anyone interested -

also, I've seen some reports that not all can access the maritime charts site, though I've been there several times and had no problem - but that's a pretty cool tool.

anyways, all just FYI, not tryin to spam the board or anything, just pass along something I thought might be interesting/ useful
