Temporary Stern/all around light

The light on my Tsunami that used to be attached to the windshield is gone. I plan to add a hardtop next winter and will want to put a permanent replacement up there.

I want to get something battery powered to keep on board for this year in case I get stuck out after dusk though. Any one have any reccomendations?

How about a battery powered suction cup stern light?

you can get them about anywhere online, west, boat us, etc:

That's exactly what I'm looking at, I was just wondering if anyone had used one and could reccomend something specific that had performed well for them.

Been using them for years. I think ours are Perko, not positive but no complaints

Thanks Trayder. I was afraid it was going to be useless.

1973,
If your batteries are located close by, you can throw a couple alligator clips on a permanent mast-style stern light. Drop the light in the starboard stern rod holder and attach the wires to the battery. It works great as a temporary solution, or in my father's case, semi-permanent. His 23 Sceptre has had this setup on it for 7 seasons now.
