Please review a deal on a 1977 23ft.

Hello all and what a great web site. Here's the deal... I'm looking at a 1977 23ft Seacraft with a 2003 200hp 4 stroke Yamaha with 168 hours and one year left on the warranty. Also a dual axle Magic Tilt trailer. After reviewing post's conserning different issues with the 23's I went back to look again. The transom is solid, I had a 240lb. guy jumping on the motor and the transom did not give. The fuel tank and deck cover have been replaced, re-wired, no soft spots in the deck, very little stress cracking. Dirty as heck but looking beyond that and what some of you have done I think it has a future. Is it worth $9500.00??????????

Regards,
Matt

No way Matt, way to much money. By the way where is that boat at and do you have a # to go with it :D Seriously if its not a typo I saw and you say it's $9,500.00 with that kind of power, IMO you have a steal on your hands, 23CC are hard to come by buddy and when you find one they dont come cheap ;) By the way welcome to CSC!

yes

I think that is a very good deal,If you pick it apart the engine alone has to be worth $7500 and I am sure the hull is worth more than $3000...

plus it runs!!

He had it at 10K but we are at 9500.00 he needs the money for the IRS. It's not 100% but it would be a project for the future.

IMO you might be a little under powered there but that isin't something you cant take care of in the future. Pull the trigger on it and make sure to post plenty of pics.

10-4 it's a C/C. He did replace the fuel tank cover with starboard so I'll be looking soon for parts. I'll post pic's after I get the 16 layers of dirt off it.
