help with thru-hull transducer

can someone please tell me if there is a way to know if my 73 20 has a factory thru-hull installed WITHOUT major dissassembly? if not i want to put one of the airmar units in that dont require all the fiberglass work. thanks for the help.

If it does I would doubt that it still works or is compatible with anything today. From what I have seen on this board it would be located on the keel about 6-12in. up from the transom. Hope that helps.

Like Bryan said even if you do have one in your boat - leave it there (if you can't get to it to remove it) and go with a new transducer.

I am going with the Airmar B60.

thanks for the replys guys... i was looking at the airmar b60-20. and was going to mate it with either a garmin 178c or a lowrance 334c. have been doing research on both and the lower price on the garmin seems to be the ticket..

No, I stole that pic from Fishjack's post to show you. He has a 23SF.
By the Way, Looking good Fishjack. You will be jumping wakes again soon. The red Seacrafts seem to love doing that. :D
