Specs on an 84 20SF

interesting - when I bought the trailer for the hull i recently piocked up, they quoted me the following specs:

Hull weight: 2100 lbs dry
Fuel: 70 gal
Max HP: 235
deadrise at transom: 20*

yet all of the spec sheets i have seen on this site list the weight at 1,600 lbs fuel capacity at 47 gal, max hp at 175 and the deadrise at transom at 16*. can anyone confirm what I was quoted as being correct or incorrect? Again, this is for a 1984 SF20. Thanks

Looks like they confused you with a 23SF. :o

Re: Specs on an 84 20SF

I have a 1988 and a 1989 brochure and they state the following:

1988

Fuel Cap 65 gal
weight boat only 2100lbs
Max HP: 150
deadrise: 16 (this is an average of the Variable planes)
price (sit down for this $13,995 with a 135 HP)

1989:

Fuel Cap 70 gal
weight boat only 1990lbs
Max HP: 150
deadrise: 16 (this is an average of the Variable planes)
price ($16,995 with a 150 HP and a trailer!!!)

as for other odd specs I also have the 1982 23 superfisherman specs here:

Fuel Cap 136 gal
weight boat only 3100lbs
Max HP: 500 (that is not a misprint)
deadrise: not listed
price not listed

I am working on scanning these brochures and will add them to the site within the next few months.

by the way a 23 CC with a 200hp motor was $17,995 new in 1988.....

Re: Specs on an 84 20SF

I have an 86 20SF and I got the following weights from the scale at work:
trailer 980 lbs.
Boat, trailer and motor 4140 lbs.
motor (2005 yam 150 4 stroke)is supposed to weigh 475 lbs.
boat should then weigh 2685 lbs.
I haven't looked at the fuel level yet but the 70 gallon tank is probably about 1/2 full.

Look at the '82 Seacraft Brochure here:

http://classicseacraft.com/brochures...ure/index.html

I have an '83 20' SF. I believe Seacraft Industries made the 82, 83, 84 20' hulls. To be sure, you can search the archives for the mfgr timeline. If the 84 SF is similar to my '83 hull, the overall length is 20'-4", 8" longer than the Potter 20 SF. Some other particulars:

Fuel capacity 70 gal, confirmed
Deadrise at transom 17°, actual measurement on my hull
Dry weight 1700lbs, from the brochure
Max HP 175, from the brochure.

I don't have a CG rating plaque in mine, so if you can confirm that 235 hp rating for the 84 SF 20, I'd be interested to hear about it.

If my 86 20sf HIN starts with SIC is it a SeaCraft Industries hull?
