removing yamaha gauges

I have yamaha gauges and I cant figure how to get them removed from my centerconsole backboard. They dont seem to unscrew. They have brackets on the back, but the brackets do not meet the backing that they are mounted too. Anyone have any ideas. They are probably older gauges, 1999 or so. http://img182.imageshack.us/img182/7084/dsc004526lc.jpg

I just removed my '89 vintage Yammie gauges and they were held in by the brackets from the back - sounds like maybe yours either are fit very tight or are stuck in with sealer. If you have removed the brackets from the gauges I would try running a razor blade between the gauge and the dash.

actually there are brackets on the back as well. I didnt think that they were held in by brackets, but maybe they are.
