Looks good! Wish my 20 was that shiny. Red Gelcoat fades real quik even after a good buff. Plus the previous owner did not belive in fenders. Time for a repaint soon.

It sure didn't look like that when I bought it. Your hand would be white if you rubbed it down the hull. I called it a semi gloss finish  I used 3M Marine Fiberglass Cleaner and Wax for lightly oxidized finishes, pair that up with a Makita grinder with buffer pad and your in business, the stuff is really good. It brought the shine back on this hull so now its easy to keep up with. I just wish the inside of the boat shined like the outside :D to many corners and curves me maybe some day I'll spend some time on the inside :D

Every time I've been there to register boats (five times in the last ten years) I have asked about picking some reg. numbers and have been told "NO we can't do that", "we don't have the computer to handle that here", etc. etc. etc. all by the same clerk. I went in with to register my new to me Seacraft, paperwork in hand, same clerk, I figured can't hurt to ask again right? Asked the guy and this time and he says "sure as long as some one elses doesn't have the numbers currently you can have them, what numbers do you want? I'll check right now in the computer" the rest is history :D the morale of the story always register your boat on a friday afternoon!

And I thought I had the shiniest 1974 20 SF around! Now I'm not sure. Our boats are twins except mine has a red boot stripe instead of blue. Is that Pleasant Bay in your photo? If so I'm sure I'll see you out there this summer. I'm hoping to get the boat in the water this weekend for a trial run, maybe catch the first schoolie of the year.

Thats Nantucket Sound with Monomoy in the background, last April, I just had to replace the springs and axels on my trailer or I would have been out weeks ago :D
