A New Boat to Check Out

I've been learning from everyone here on CSC.com for about six months now. I thought some might like to see the boat I (meaning me and F&B Boatworks in Savannah, Ga) have been working on. The hull is 1974. I knew the transom was bad and the floor had some soft spots.

Probably no surprise to anyone, but the wood that came out of the transom looked more like mulch. The floor was worse than I thought and the whole thing was removed.

Stringer Shock! There were many places where the junction between the wall and the top of several stringers was fractured. We decided to cut out the top of the stringers and remove the water saturated foam that weighed a ton.

The stringers were repaired and new foam poured.

I'll try and post more pictures in the next few days as I've finally gotten the hang of photobucket.

Knees will go in after placement of the bracket.

Ready for a lot of fairing to prepare for the bracket.

I've got more pictures than time right now. I just picked up the motor bracket day before yesterday (thanks to Don at HermCo and Capt. Chuck for the advice!) More to come.

Are you going with a single engine bracket or twin engine bracket? What kind of boat is that to the right of yours?

Strick,

I'm going with a single bracket. The boat next to mine is a 1978 Blackfin.
