Re: Funny thread

...we could start our own version on here:

- "where do I get SeaCraft decals for my redone boat?"
- "what years are Potter hulls?"
- "how far out can I take my 20'?"
- "what day, month, minute (before or after lunch) was my hull built based on the hull ID number...and how many others were before mine that day??"
- "where can I find original marinium deck hardware to make my 35 year old boat look new again?"

and likely my forum favorite - "I'm looking for a Potter built 23'CC in great shape, I'm willing to pay up to $500, anyone know of one...within 20 miles of my house??"

or my most common monthly email - "if you don't mind me asking, how much did you spend to redo your 20'?"

Those are just the public ones, you should take a glance at my email inbox.......

on average 3x per week, what are the best years.

2x per week where can i get stickers...

I answer them all and then give them Mark's Phone # for further information.

I love boating forums, not so much for posting but more for reading, it is quite entertaining.

DISCLAIMER the following is meant as a "Roast" I mean none of it seriously

It is obvious that anybody with over 10K post on an boating internet board clearly has more boating knowledge than anyone else'

One should always believe what they read on the net, much like what they see on TV. Other's opions are clearly better than one's own. How else would I know that I need to drink a 24 pack of beer before attempting to replace my transom.

I also enjoy counting how many times Warthog will post the same picture(s) on any forum that is water related, I think I saw the picture of his bilge pumps in a thread at www.classicwastewatertreatment.com (just kidding of course, I am thilled he finnaly floated the boat!!)

Lately I enjoy the flagrent coping of the domain name Classicputyourboathere.com Classicparker? WTF....I just reserved classicyellowfin.com just in case.

When someone has someting up for sale in an online forum it is necesary to let the person know their item is one of the following, if not all of the following

Overpriced
In poor condition
Maybe stolen
once used at the neverland ranch.

If you are selling something on an internet forum it is a must to include the following:

Showroom condition
Well below market value
Price is FIRM
once owned by Kato Kelin

what years are best anyway?
