Spun Hub on Twin Engine Setup Question
I have twin Yamaha 150's on my Classic SeaCraft. Some rope got caught on one of the stainless steel props this evening.
When I tried stepping on the engines the one that had the rope caught acted like I had spun the hub. The prop in question is a 17ML. I will take the prop & hub to a nearby prop repair shop. In the mean time would it be possible or foolhardy to temporarily use an aluminum prop? I am on vacation this week and want to get back to using the boat asap, but don't want to do anything to stupid. I would greatly appreciate any advice. Thanks Peter |

I can't think of any reason why not

Re: Spun Hub on Twin Engine Setup Question
Just a question Peter.. do you have rubber hubs on your props? Alot of SS wheels are solid hubs. You might have been turning the motor over. I thought you had solid hubs, when I had the boat at the shop. But you can run an aluminum prop with out a problem on the one motor
