1969 Bowrider found in the weeds
I ran across a 1969 Seacraft Bowrider in someone's yard a year ago, didn't need another project at the time. Drove back to the spot today and talked to the owner. He will sell, wants me to make offer. I would love to pick it up for $500.00 but would like to know how much a hull in rough to ok shape with a 4 cylinder IO which hasn't run in years is worth. Trailer is in ok condition needs tires.

Re: 1969 Bowrider found in the weeds
Just dont tell him about classic seacraft. Dont mention Potter, Mosley or anything :D Act like you could care less but you would like to do him a favor and get it off his property. If he says he was thinking about donating it tell him that you heard they quit taking pre-70's boats a year ago. Kidding aside you sound about right on the value.

See if he can produce the title before a offer is made.

Re: 1969 Bowrider found in the weeds
Thanks, I now need to sell my previous project (1987 Grady White T 19.
I have not run across a Seacraft Bowrider restored and for sale. Do you have any idea what one would go for? I dont like to spend more on a project than it is worth. |

It's a labor of love bro, are you looking to keep it? Can you do the work yourself?

Re: 1969 Bowrider found in the weeds
I can do all the work to the hull. I would like to repower maybe a v6 instead of the 4.
Would anyone be able to tell me hat kind of performance this boat would have with a 4 Eric |
