Help with re-decking a '78 CC

It's finally come to his.....looks like my '78 CC needs a new deck. Any helpful hints out there? How do I start? What should I avoid? Any help you guys can give is greatly appreciated!

What length is your boat a 20 or a 23. There ar several different options depending on which hull you have.
