Materials???

Guys need to buy some cloth I need to put my stringers ends back together and will also be wrapping the rest of the stringers with a layer or 2 as they will be padded for my new floor. Also I have ground out cracks and will fill the area with glass sand then fair will 3/4 oz mat work for this?
