Hammers's '85 SF now in NJ
Here's a picture of Hammer's '18 SF that's on home page since I bought it a couple years ago with a few changes. I repowered with an '02 Yam 115hp 2 stroke, new windshield, flush cleats & lite, power steering. http://i107.photobucket.com/albums/m...Maine06007.jpg

Great looking boat. I have always liked the Parker 18 footer.
I would love to compare the 2 boats. Wwhat do you think? Also, where in Jersey are you????? |

Beautiful rig! Love the SC18. Got mine (1990) this spring.

I've spent a good bit of time on both of the 18's in question. The Parker 18 is definitely a bigger roomier boat than the SC18. The trade-off is that the Parker will beat you senseless in choppy water, whereas the SeaCraft 18 won't.

Re: Hammers's '85 SF now in NJ
Sorry I haven't checked in for so long. Being new kid on the block here I don't want to sound like a wise guy, but to mention Parker & SC in the same sentence is blasphemy or a mortal sin or somethin', isn't it?
Anyway, 18' SC feels like you're in a 21' boat and the Parker is the other way around! If you have to go to the dark side, Grady makes an interesting looking 18' now, haven't ridden in one which is in my opinion mandatory before buying anything. |

Congrats, as you probably already know it's perfect for bass fishing which is why I wanted it so I could go in shallow flats in the rivers and still take on big water outside once in a while. Not to mention trailering, I've taken it to Montauk and Maine, perfect size for flyfishing in close where the bass are.
I've always wanted to fish Rhode Island, lots of great spots that hold bass, what do you do with yours? |
