Northrip 20'
Saw this boat doing a little surfing. I am sure you Northern guys are familiar with these boats. They are new to me. Not exactly a Seacraft knock off.

Re: Northrip 20'
They are down the street from me and are run by a couple of nice guys. a niche boat from what I have seen so far, tenders for yachts and boats that look good on a mooring in front of your big house letting your neighbors know your are not afraid to spend copious amounts of money on a toy you use maybe 2 times a year. Sort of a smaller version of the Hinkley Picnic boat.

Re: Northrip 20'
They have the flare of the Wellcraft V20 but sounds like they are a lot more $$. Like that elevated deck that starts amidships. I had thought of doing that on a past project boat but never did. Imagine the storage ;)

Re: Northrip 20'
Trayder, the guy I know who has one has it sitting between his two larger boats and I have never seen it leave the dock. You may be onto something there.

Re: Northrip 20'
I've seen it in the water down at the Island Queen dock in Falmouth MA. Must be the same one riprunner is talking about..

Re: Northrip 20'
That's the one, the 1969 completely restored Hatteras and the Island Queen are his other boats. I'll ask him what he thinks of the Northrip next time I talk with him.

Re: Northrip 20'
I've never seen one in person but it looks pretty nice from the pictures.

Re: Northrip 20'
Nice looking boat. Looks very similar to the G-20
http://www.gboats.com The G20 is made in Gloucester. I share office space with a guy whose brother is part owner. They have been very busy this year beefing up the boat. |
Re: Northrip 20'
Looking at the picture on the home page makes me think of only one thing:
The priceless expression on the guys face who just launched that overpriced flat bottomed marina queen and who most likely is screaming "I am soooo filthy rich that I can easily afford to pay my chiropractor copious amounts of $$$ so I can get my back fixed after this thing lands" Sorry, but I would take a beat up ridden hard seacraft over that thing any day of the week.... |

The transom deadrise is 20 degrees....that is 4 more degrees than a 20sf. That sure is one heavey boat though...800lbs heavier than the seacraft. I luv seacrafts, but that is one sweet ride to me!!! |
