Yamaha oil tanks

Starting to look for the operational parts for my new Yamaha 130TXRB and I noticed that they have two different sizes of remote oil tanks. Does anyone on the forum know if the larger tank (5 gallons) will fit inside one of the stern seats of a standard 1976 SF and, aside from some obvious advantages (longer time between fill ups, etc.), are there any operational advantages for going with the larger tank?

Also, thinking about adding a fuel management gauge/system, but the Yamaha unit looks very expensive; anyone running another brand unit with their Yamaha, and where there any issues regarding hook up, wiring, operation, etc.

Re: Yamaha oil tanks

I have the old tank from my Yamie 115 which looks smaller than 5 gals. Never used it as the oil system was disconnected. You can have it ... i am done with the 2-stoke thing ... :D

I have the Navman F2100, pretty basic and does the job for the price. Once calibrated after 1 run,
it is right on the money and easy to install.

Not to derail but, I could use the small tank bracket if anyone has one.

Dan,

I called you back on Sun and left you a message.

Send me an email or PM.

The Yamaha tank label states 11.1 US quarts ...
